The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Forest Service (FS) are responsible for managing natural resources on public lands. While the numerous resources on the public lands are diverse, they are also interrelated, which means that management actions pertaining to one resource will also impact others.
The purpose of this guidance is to provide a national framework for hydrologic analysis and related protocols as components of more comprehensive interdisciplinary watershed analysis.
