PDH Acceptance:
There are 30 states (that we know of) requiring continuing education for engineers. Except a few, the majority of the states does not pre-approve a continuing education course and leave that choice to the engineers.
We have already been pre-approved in the states of Louisiana, North Carolina, Arkansas, Florida (#0003758), and New York that require pre-approval. We are registered under our main company, Failure & Damage Analysis Inc. We are a State Board of Engineers approved course provider.
In case some of the Texas engineers do not know, Texas does not pre-approve a course or sponsor. However, we have designed our courses to meet all the requirements of the Texas Board of engineers along with all other States.
Although all the states share the same principals in their continuing education program, but each one have slightly different requirements for their program.

Our 15 PDH DVD and CD courses (home seminar) are a multimedia DVD of a live seminar. It contains PDF text files, computer animation, power point presentation and video clips.
Our CD courses are PDF text files and some of them also have a power point presentation.
We do not give a test for our live or home seminars. There are 30 State Boards of Professional Engineers across the country, each one with different rules. Some states may require a test/quiz for a home seminar. If your state requires a test for a home seminar, simply take the quiz online 24/7 and print your certificate any time after your purchase. You must have already paid or purchased the course before printing your certificate.
It is mandatory for the LA, FL, NC, AR, and NY engineers to take the quiz and keep a copy of the certificate for their records, otherwise their credits will not be reported to their boards.
You can take the quiz as many times as you want. You can take a look at the quiz questions to see the quiz format and the type of questions asked. The purpose of the class is not to flunk the students but to teach them.
We hold every engineer responsible for knowing the PDH requirements of the State/States that he or she is registered in. There are 30 State Boards of Professional Engineers across the country, each one with different rules. We can not know or get upgraded with every states requirements/changes on daily basis. When you call to place an order, our secretary is simply there to take your order. She is not an expert in every state's PDH requirements. We expect the engineers know about their own PDH requirements.
Please do not call us and ask if your state requires a test/quiz for a home seminar. If you are not sure/or know if your state requires a test for home seminar, then definitely take the quiz and keep a copy for your records.
If you need a copy of your test, simply print the screen of your quiz before hitting the "Grade Me" button. If you need a copy of your score simply print the screen after you get graded.
NY engineers have to contact us after purchasing the course and passing the test for their certificates. The certificate that is automatically generated by the web site is for the other 29 States that require engineering continuing education courses for their professional engineers.
NYS has asked for particular wording and statements required by the NYS in the certificate. After purchasing and passing the test, simply send us an email with your email address and do mention that you are registered with the NY board and which course you purchased and passed the test and we will email you your NY certificate right away.
If you are registered in NY and other States, you can use the automatic website generated certificate for all listed states EXCEPT NY.
NYS does not accept 15 hours, one day seminar + CD combo as there is a particular wording for their certificates. We will arrange 8 PDH/one-day and 16 PDH/two-day all day live seminars for New York engineers in the State of New York in future.
The remaining other States can take our 15 PDH Live seminar + CD combo. You will receive 7 PDH of live seminar + 8 PDH CD (your own) which you will take home with you after the seminar. The 8 PDH CD has been prepared as a field trip for engineers in home structural damage inspection and is a complement to the 2-3 hours of forensic engineering workshop which you receive at the beginning of the live seminar. The 8 PDH home seminar CD is in the form of power point presentation. Your computer does not need to have power point presentation; we have included everything for you. The CD includes a 40 page power point presentation as a” Home Buyer’s Guide for Foundation Evaluation” + 590 slides of home structural damage inspection. The CD is unmatched with any course out there, as we are the only company who shows how to do field work. Not only it is beneficial to engineers who do Hurricane and home damage works, it is also beneficial to engineers who are home owners or will be home owners in future. As they will learn what can cause damage to their home, how to inspect or look for it and what is its cause and origin. The course covers variety of structures, from a medium 3 bd/2bath house to million dollar mansions in Florida damaged by hurricanes.
After finishing your 8 PDH CD, simply go back to the live seminar page and take the
8 PDH Home Seminar CD Quiz. You can take the quiz as many times as you want. Upon passing the quiz, print the passing score and attach it to your certificate. Do not forget to register with the website first.
