Course summary:
The purpose of this course is to provide the requirements necessary for the design and construction of structural steel, cold-formed steel, steel joists, steel cable structures, steel storage racks and composite construction. This chapter specifies the appropriate design and construction standards for these types of structures. It also provides a road map of the applicable technical requirements for steel structures. Detailed provisions are included for the wind and seismic requirements for light- frame cold-formed steel walls.
