This course contains the performance requirements for controlling fire growth within buildings by restricting interior finish materials and decorations. The provisions of the course require specific materials used as interior finishes and decorations to have a flame spread index (often referred to as flame spread rating) or to have a flame resistance, based on the relative fire hazard associated with the occupancy.
